HTET 2024 Notification, Apply Online, Eligibility, Exam Date

The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana (BSEH) will be conducting the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test or HTET 2024 in December month. The online registration may be started in November 2024. So far, the board has not finalized the exact date for the registration. However, the board has proposed to conduct the HTET 2024 examination on 07 & 08 December 2024. For holding the examination, test centres have to be established in the buildings of the CBSE-affiliated schools along with the state government and non-governmental colleges, universities and technical institutions located in Haryana.

HTET is conducted to ensure that the persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at the Elementary, Secondary and Senior Secondary levels.

One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools recognized by the Department of School Education, Haryana is that the candidate should pass the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test.

HTET Educational Qualification Details

If you want to become a teacher in Haryana through the HTET exam, your qualifications will depend on the teaching level you are applying for. Here’s a simple breakdown:

Level 1 (Class I-V) Primary Teacher (PRT): For classes 1 to 5, candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks. They should have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year diploma in elementary teacher education.

Level 2 (Class VI-VIII) Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT): For classes 6 to 8, candidates need a Graduation Degree with a 2-year diploma in elementary education. Alternatively, candidates with a Graduation Degree and at least 50% marks along with a B.Ed. diploma can also apply.

Level 3 (Class IX-XII) Post Graduate Teachers (PGT): For classes 9 to 12, candidates must have a Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree. Additionally, they must have passed Matriculation with Hindi/Sanskrit or studied Hindi during Senior Secondary, Graduation, or Post Graduation.

HTET Certificate Validation

There is no temporal limit on the HTET Certificate validation. The validity of the HTET was increased from 07 years to a lifetime by the Ministry of Education, with the change taking effect back in 2011. If a candidate has passed the HTET within the past 10 years (starting in 2011), they will be eligible to receive a new HTET certificate with lifelong validity. As a result of this decision, more than 2.5 lakh candidates will be eligible for benefits.

How to Apply Online for HTET 2024?

1. Visit the official website that is bseh.org.in.
2. Click on the link that says “Registration / Login.”
3. To proceed to the following page, click on the link that says “Apply Now.”
4. After you have finished reading the HTET registration instructions and have selected the option to “Proceed for registration,” you will be able to fill out the form for the HTET.
5. Fill out the HTET 2024 registration form with your personal information.
6. The next thing you need to do is log in to your account with the HTET registration number and the password that you just made.
7. After you have successfully logged in, you will have the option to upload a scanned version of your photo, signature, and thumbprint.
8. After that, you will need to pay the HTET Registration Fee.
9. Make sure you print out a copy of the HTET application.
